The Possibility of Aging Boldy

I turned 49 last month, and I celebrated by getting some long-planned tattoos. As a gal who grew up as a goody-two-shoes people pleaser, getting my first tattoos at 49 felt like a pretty rebellious thing to do, and, honestly, I loved that feeling.

I take Mary Oliver’s question seriously when she asks “what will you do with your one wild and precious life?” So one of my tattoos says “one wild and precious life” as a reminder.
